As part of his ongoing consultation exercise, Deacon Dele Adesina SAN is presently in Port-Harcourt to meet and greet members of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Port-Harcourt Branch in particular and the entire Rivers State Branches of the NBA in general.
On arrival, he addressed a group of both young and senior lawyers moderated by Granville Abibo SAN, a long-time ally of Deacon Dele Adesina SAN. In attendance at the meeting, were both past and serving Branch Chairmen and Secretaries of various Branches of the NBA in Rivers State.
In the course of the interactive session, Deacon Dele Adesina SAN spoke about the need to reposition the Bar for the benefit of all Nigerian lawyers, particularly the teeming young lawyers.
He assured the audience that his greatest drive in showing interest in the leadership of the Association at this point in time is solely to serve the Association and the Profession.
Stressing that, success without successor is a failure, Deacon Dele Adesina SAN emphasised the need to secure the future of the Legal Profession in Nigeria, expand the scope of practice for the teeming young lawyers of the Bar in order to guarantee their success in the Profession and to address the problem of encroachment into the Profession by non-lawyers and organisations.
The consultation continues tomorrow.
