As preparations for the NBA 2019 Annual General Conference gather momentum, on Saturday the 1st of June,2019 members of the Technical Committee of the Conference Planning led by the Co-Chairman, Mr. Olumide Akpata inspected the facilities that will be used during the conference.
The TCCP visited the Eko Hotels & Suites at Adetokunbo Ademola Street, Victoria Island, Lagos where the TCCP members were shown the various halls that will be the venue for the plenary and specialized sessions during the conference. The Management of Eko Hotels & Suites assured the TCCP that Eko Hotels & Suites is fully prepared for the NBA Conference and would partner with the NBA to show case the conference to the international community.

TCCP members also inspected the Harbour Point facility which is to be used as a registration point, friendship centre and will also be the venue for some of the sessions of the conference. The TCCP members were thrilled with the ambience and expanse of the Harbour Point , particularly the opportunity it presents to host many events of the NBA in one place.
Recall that the NBA President, Paul Usoro, SAN had promised that the 2019 Annual General Conference would be the best for a long time and in fulfillment thereof set up the TCCP to put this promise into realisable actions. The TCCP has since started work by ensuring that the difficulties encountered by delegates in previous conferences are fully addressed.
In subsequent bulletins, the TCCP shall be issuing clear guides on transportation, hotel accommodation, parking lots and security measures put in place to ensure that delegates have an enjoyable Conference.

Dear Business owner, pay attention to the terms of your contract to avoid void and voidable contracts.
Where parties enter into a contract under a misconception about material facts, such a contract is void or voidable for mistake.
A void contract has no effect whatsoever e.g. a contract to carry out an illegal act while a voidable agreement is one that is valid until annulled e.g. When parties enter a contract for the supply of 100 tons of baking flour but the supplier mistakenly delivers 30 tons, the buyer may choose to collect the 30 tons thereby ratifying the contract or choose to reject the 30 tons, thereby setting it aside.

The law mandating the compulsory treatment of gunshot victims was passed by the 8th Senate and signed into law by President Buhari in 2017.
Before the law, it was the norm for hospitals to refuse treatment to gunshot victims despite the immediate medical attention needed to save the life of such victim.
Among other things, Hospitals are now required to contact the family of the victim within 24hrs of identifying such person (Section 10) and ensure a proper record of such treatments are kept accordingly (Section 12). Read more on the Blawg

The law criminalizes it and pays no attention to the mental state of the person. Rather such person would be bundled to jail for a 1 year sentence.
