Description
This Introduction to Nigerian Labour Law is a follow-up to the first edition published in 1998. Like the earlier version, this book is concerned principally with the laws regulating employment and labour relations in Nigeria. It covers the usual scope – the individual contract of employment and the law relating to industrial or labour relations. In addition, there is a foray into Social Security and Protection Laws. Again, this edition explores developing topics, including Non-Standard Forms of Employment, Law Relating to Vulnerable Groups and Persons in the Workplace, and International Labour Law and Standards. This is an endeavour to produce a complete work on relevant topics, setting agenda for the dynamics of labour development, and to cover the curriculum of undergraduate and postgraduate students of Labour Law. It definitely covers all areas of labour law and practice.
